2022 Bull Sale Report
Bassett Livestock Auction
We held our 41sth Annual 2 year-old Registered Angus bull sale on Wednesday, March 2 at the Bassett Livestock Auction. Mike Baxter auctioned off 70 head for an average of $6,092.
The top selling bull, Lot 7, HR Incredible U482, sold to Terry Raabe of Norfolk, NE for $13,500.

Bryan Morgan of Valentine, NE took home Lot 8, HRC Incredible U789, for $11,000. Mark Hoffman of Chambers, NE purchased Lot 23, HR Synergy U844, for $11,000.
​
Terry Raabe, Norfolk, NE also purchased Lot 19, HRC Synergy U589 for $10,500.
​
Lot 2, HRC Exclusive U479, was purchased by Krueger Cattle Company of Valentine, NE for $10,000 and Terry Raabe took home Lot 58, HR Niagara U516 for $10,000.
​
Volume buyer was Lee Schmitt of Bellwood, NE, purchasing 8 bulls.

Hall Ranch Angus held their 40th Annual 2-year-old Registered Angus bull sale on Wednesday, March 3 at the Bassett Livestock Auction. Mike Baxter auctioned off 63 head for an average of $5,250.

The top selling bull, Lot 32, HR Charged Up T547, sold to Bryan Morgan of Valentine for $12,000.
​
Krueger Cattle Co. of Valentine, NE took home Lot 37, HRC Investment T685 for $10,000.
​
Bryan Morgan also purchased Lot 3, HRX Old Hickory T700, and Lot 4, Old Hickory T742, for $10,00 apiece.
​
Jason Lee of Hickman, NE was volume buyer, purchasing eight bulls.

Hall Ranch Angus held their 39th Annual 2 year-old Registered Angus bull sale on Wednesday, March 5 at the Bassett Livestock Auction.
Mike Baxter auctioned off 59 two year old registered bulls for a sale average of $5,675.
The top selling bull, Lot 1, HRC Cashman S309 (Reg No. 19355361), sold to Mark Hoffman of Chambers, NE for $11,500.
Krueger Cattle Co. of Valentine, NE took home Lot 29, HR Investment S082 (Reg No. 19360911) for $10,000.
Jo Stec of Bassett, NE, purchased Lot 3, HRC Cashman S625 (Reg No. 19355400), for $9,500 and Krueger Cattle Co. of Valentine, NE bought Lot 35, HRC Renown S221 (Reg No. 19355353) for $9,500.

Bryan Morgan of Valentine was volume buyer, purchasing five bulls.

Hall Ranch Angus held their 38th Annual 2 year-old Registered Angus bull sale on Wednesday, March 6 at the Bassett Livestock Auction.
Mike Baxter auctioned off 62 head for an average of $4,620.90.

The top selling bull, Lot 1, HRX Cashman R539, sold to Krebs Ranch of Gordon, NE for $10,500. Krebs renamed the bull HRX Copenhagen (Reg. No. 19050291) and resold 2/3 semen interest and full possession at the 2020 National Western Stock Show for $80,000.
Joe Higgins of Naper, NE took home Lot 41, HRK Investment R536 for $8,500.
Bryan Morgan, Valentine, NE, purchased Lot 9, HR Cashman R381, for $8,000.

Mike Baxter auctioned 74 bulls with an average of $4,175 at the Bassett Livestock Auction.

The top bull, HRX Innovation P561, sold to Krueger Cattle Co., of Valentine, NE for a sale price of $11,500.
Mark Hoffman of Chambers, NE purchased lot 61, HRC Sure Shot P153, for $11,000.
Also going to Mark Hoffman was Lot 22, HR Cashman P344, for $10,500.
Raabe Bros. were the volume buyer of the 2018 sale, taking home 11 bulls.

Hall Ranch Angus held their 36th Annual 2 year-old Registered Angus bull sale on Wednesday, March 1 at the Bassett Livestock Auction. Mike Baxter auctioned off 65 head for an average of $6,796.15.

The top selling bull, Lot 45, HRL Sure Shot O974, sold to Krueger Cattle Co. of Valentine for $12,500. Michael Peters of O’Neill, NE took home Lot 26, HR Upgrade O205 for $11,500. Bryon Morgan, Valentine, NE, purchased Lot 14, HRX Cashman O530, for $11,500. Morgan also purchased HRX Cashman O252 for $11,000. Volume buyer was Bryan Morgan.

Auctioneer Mike Baxter sold 76 Registered 2 year-old Angus bulls with a sale average of $7,592.
The top selling bull, Lot 64, HR Midadeen N746, a son of herd owned sire DB Midadeen 977, went home with Krueger Cattle Company of Valentine, Nebraska for a selling price of $16,000. Krueger Cattle Company also purchased Lot 42, HR Waylon N919, a Baldridge Waylon W34 son, for $15,000. Rounding out Krueger Cattle Company purchases were two more Waylon sons selling for $13,000 (Lot 63) and $12,000 (Lot 32).
Buyers Michael Peters of O’Neill, NE and Gordon Simonson of Purdum, NE purchased the next two highest selling lots. Peters purchased Lot 44, HRX Upgrade N939 for $14,500. Simonson took home Lot 34, HRC Excitement N021 for $14,500.
Bob Carr, Jr. of Valentine, NE purchased Lot 62, HRC Consensus 7229 N815 for $13,500.
The volume buyer was Morgan Ranch purchasing eight lots. Sire groups represented were PA Full Power 1208, Apex Windy 078, Basin Excitement, Baldridge Waylon W34. Whitestone Black Arrow Z101, War Upgrade X038, and herd owned Mogck Sure Shot 631 averaging $9,937.50.

Hall Ranch of Bassett Nebraska held their 34th Registered 2 Year-Old Angus Bull Sale on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at the Bassett Livestock Auction. Auctioneer, Mike Baxter, sold eighty-three bulls resulting in an average of $8,626.00.
The high bull, HR Midadeen M782, went to Krueger Cattle Company of Valentine, Nebraska for $17,000, a son of owned herd sire DB Midadeen 977. Also going home with Krueger Cattle Company were five more bulls sired by DB Midadeen 977, Connealy Final Solution, and Whitstone Black Arrow.
Bryan Morgan, of Valentine, NE purchased the second highest selling bull, HRX Midadeen M052, another son of DB Midadeen 977, for $12,500.
Ed Peppel of Butte, NE purchased a Connealy Final Solution son for $12,000. Joe Higgins of Naper, NE bought the growthy HRC Sure Shot M153, sired by owned herd sire Mogck Sure Shot 631, for $12,000. Michael Peter of O'Neill, took home HRC Excitement M535, a Bason Excitement son, for $12,000.
Volume buyers were Marty and Dee Hollenbeck of Bassett, Nebraska purchasing a total of seven bulls from the following sire groups: Consensus, Timeless, and herd owned sire TC Total 869. Bryan Morgan of Valentine, was also a volume buyer with seven purchases averaging $10,000 per head. Sire groups represented by Morgan purchases were the owned herd sire DB Midadeen 977 and a Connealy Thunder.

Auctioneer, Mike Baxter, sold 77 two-year-old Angus bulls in rapid order. The bulls averaged $6,396. The Krueger Ranch of Valentine, Ne., took home the top selling bull, HR Industry L849, for $11,500. Also going home with the Krueger Ranch was HRC Midadeen L633, a son of the owned herd sire DB Midadeen 977, for $11,000.
Bryan Morgan of Valentine purchased HRC Midadeen L633, another DB Midadeen 977 son for $11,000. Tyler Morgan of Valentine bought HRK Final Answer L002 for $10,000. Bryan Morgan took home HR Impression L069, a Connealy Impression son, for $10,000.
The volume buyer was Raabe Brothers, taking home a total of nine bulls.
